In loving memory of Doris "Dot" Swann who sadly passed away on 19th December 2016.
Reception into Our Lady Help of Christians will take place at 7:30pm Monday 9th January 2017 followed by Mass.
The Requiem Mass will be at 2pm Tuesday afternoon followed by short service at the Crem attended by family only.
Doris was born on Harcourt Street, Mansfield, the 3rd child of Frank and Elsie Seagrave (frank a miner and Elsie a housewife.) who had 10 children altogether.
Doris attended St.Philip Neri Junior School and then St. and Bedes Secondary School having left School she then went on to Work at the Co-op Dairy, Baringers and Wood Bastows. Her Dad used to get her up at 5am to go to work in the dairy and I remember her saying that she had to wear clogs.
We attended St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church at Sutton where Mum was involved in cleaning the church, fundraising and social events connected with Church
As Children we went on family holidays to Butlins Skegness and I (Julie) got lost on the monorail at the age of 3 I was enjoying myself having fun riding round all day
She ran a very tight home, She was a funny very loving Mother and Grandmother to: Brian, Julie also Grand Children , Mitchell,Duane,Laura and Lee and Great Grand Children: Kirsten,Megan,Charlie and Poppy.
