Barrie and family,
Firstly my sincere regrets at not being able to make it to Ann's funeral. Unfortunately it clashes with a long standing prior arrangement in Holland. My heart aches for you all. I first met Ann when she arrived at our Towergate office in Aldgate High Street and we immediately hit it off. She was extraordinarily helpful to me in our business and when my own cancer problems arose gave me the "tough love" support that I so badly needed, when others seemed at a loss what to say. This support continued post both our retirements, with our regular email exchange always being greatly anticipated.
I remain thankful that I was able to visit your lovely home in Devon on a couple of occasions to catch up in person, but sorry that such visits could not be more frequent.

I will greatly miss Ann. A wonderful lady.
With kind regards,
Robin

A cheerful wave, a fond hello,
A smiling face, too soon to go.
Brave, Honest and a true friend.
Thanks for your endless help Ann in our time of need.
We will do our best to ensure the smile returns to number 9 and doesn't become like 10 or 11!
