Brenda was born on the 7th July 1934 in Bournemouth.

As a young child Brenda was evacuated to South Wales during the war, following this she spent many years growing up in the Isle of Man.

Some years later she returned to Islington North London where she met her first love Charlie. They met when she was walking the bosses dog from the drapery business where she worked. They courted for a couple of years before getting married on Boxing Day 1955 whilst Charlie was doing his national service in the RAF.

Charlie & Brenda went on to have 2 beautiful children Ann & John and they all moved to Essex as a family. They enjoyed holidays at Pontins together where Brenda’s mum Kathleen worked and spending family time together playing board games and doing jigsaws.

In early 1985 Brenda met her 2nd husband Albert in Chelmsford whom she had known from when she was working back in London. They married in December 1986.

During these years they moved a number of times in and around Norfolk & Lincolnshire, they enjoyed many holidays and shared a love for antiques.

During their later years they moved back to Chelmsford, sadly in December 2012 Albert passed away aged 85.

To keep Brenda company she got herself a lovely little Jack Russell called Lucy, and most recently she rescued a Chinese Crested powder puff dog called Fizzy who she spent her last couple of years caring for.

Brenda also had 6 Grandchildren Catherine, Sarah, Alex, Megan, Lily & Freddie.

Catherine was born in the same hospital as her Nana, Sarah went on to work at the same Pontins at her Great Grandmother, Alex gave her the families first great grandchildren in Jenson, Megan cared for her in her later life and she loved spending long weekends in Yorkshire with little Lily & Freddie and their mum Kelly who she loved like her own daughter.

Brenda always stayed close to hers and Alberts family and was very proud of all of them. She also reminded us that she reached 26 years of marriage with both Charlie & Albert.

Sadly Brenda passed away peacefully with all her family by her bedside on Thursday 17th November, before she took her last breath she heard she would have become a great grandmother again.

Everybody that came into contact with Brenda loved her and she equally loved everyone she met. She was an adorable and social able woman who will be sorely
