Geoffrey was the cousin of my late mother - Clara Smith (Nee Bailey). I am not sure that we ever met but along with my elder brother Ian I was often taken to see Geoffrey's mother, Mary and father, Tom in Steeton in the fifties when I was little boy. The last time my mother would see Geoffrey would be at her Auntie Mary's funeral and all contact ceased at that time. Sincere condolences to his remaining family. Regrettably neither my brother nor myself will be able to attend the funeral.
