I have so many good memories of you – our caravan days, drinking half a lager and lime and dancing to Oasis ‘don’t look bank in anger’, spending hours on a bus to Sheerness because you loved a market! Talking of markets, let’s not forget Woolwich, Roman Road, Dagenham and Swanley – I hated shopping with you sometimes but I’m now glad I have the memories to look back on.

I remember keeping your secret – you were pregnant and confided in me. You carried on going to Woolworths in your big puffa coat and dress without telling anyone you nutter! Not till your brother overheard us talking one day when you was around 7 months that it all came out.

Being your birth partner when you had Jay is a memory I will treasure forever, we walked around Eltham together, two young mums pushing their prams. What must we have looked like! I remember bumping into the health visitor one summers day. She gave us a lecture on the dangers of the sun and covering up the babies like we were silly young girls – we were! That same health visitor redeemed herself when she insisted you take Jay to see the Dr as she knew there was something wrong. I felt your pain then when he passed, glad to be there for you; we were like sisters.

For the second time in my life, I stood at Jays grave but this time it was to bury you. It breaks my heart to think of those you have left behind. I have felt your loss so hard so I cant imagine how they feel. You were really loved and cherished by so many people and that was so evident on the day of your funeral. I hope there really is another world where you are with your first born and I hope to see you again one day. I will always remember you for the happy, caring and beautiful person you were. All my love xxx

Dearest Kirsty,

You truly are a gift to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you. You have left a gaping hole in all our hearts but you will always be remembered with warmth and love. You are so modest you probably never knew just how highly regarded you are by everyone. But your kindness and gentle sense of humour touched us all and always will. We will all look after Molly, Freddie and David for you and know you will be their guardian angel. Rest in peace and love xxxxx
