In loving memory of Ronald James Crocker who sadly passed away on 16th October 2016

Dad leaves behind his wife, 4 children, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was a proud Peckham boy and maths whizz who worked his way up to building his own international firm of Civil Engineers in RJ Crocker & Partners. He was a keen private pilot in his day, flying all over the northern hemisphere from Biggin Hill. So audacious were some of his destinations in his little TB20, they even named an annual distance prize after him at the flying club.

One of Dad's proudest achievements was his role in the design and construction of the lifting frame for the raising of the Mary Rose, Henry VIII's Tudor flagship, which just this year got its proper final resting home in a brand new Museum at Portsmouth, and has its place in history as one of the most important archeological events the country will ever see.

He was also particularly proud of being the Millenium Master for the Worshipful Company of Farriers. He knew nothing about horses which in typical fashion he assured us meant he was the perfect man for the job!

Dad was a great raconteur with a story for every occasion and a twinkle in his eye. He will be sorely missed as a man of wisdom, patience, guidance and limitless optimism. He was much loved and he will be in our prayers for ever.
