Yesterday's service was a wonderful and fitting tribute to a very special man, we have spent some lovely times with Chas and Pam over the years and I was luck enough to have worked with Chas. When the National lottery began Chas offered to be the leader of our small syndicate, The Tarts Lottery, 4 ladies and I man, Chas, known of course as 'The Honorary Tart'.
A good friend and wonderful husband , father and granddad, the world will only be the richer for having known Chas Keeper. When a special person passes away it is often said that the mould had been broken and we wouldn't see the like again, not true in Chas's case as we all witnessed yesterday, Chas's legacy will be the family he has left behind, true chips off the old block!

Pam, Lee, Claire and family, what a wonderful and fitting ceremony today. I am sure that Chas was looking down as proud as can be. You bet he caught you when you were about to fall Claire! It was my good luck to meet Chas 30 years ago. He was kind, generous, willing to help and always with a smile and a great sense of fun. I can still recall some of the jokes and stories like they were yesterday; they make me smile. No wonder so many people wanted to spend time with Chas. To know Chas was to know his family. He was always talking about you, he loved you all. My and Sue's luck again to have spent a lovely evening with Chas, Pam, Pete and Ave before his illness. We have some wonderful memories and the smiles will long continue. My and Sue's condolences to you all. Take care.
