In loving memory of Brian Kitchen who sadly passed away on 5th September 2016.

Brian was born into a large family in 1952, who was one of ten siblings and resided in Bermondsey. He's father, Frederick, served our and country and returned home after being a prisoner of war. When Frederick sadly passed away, Brian's mother, Eileen, brought Brian and he's siblings up all on her own with the help of her sisters.

Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Brian, knew that he was a kind, caring, gentle, loving man who would do anything he could for friends, family and anyone he cared dearly about. Brian supported Millwall Football Club from a young age and followed the team throughout the years.

Brian met his soul mate, Ann, where they went on to be husband and wife. Ann and Brian then went on to have seven children, four boys and three girls. They were then blessed further with three granddaughters, who Brian adored. Brian was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and uncle and also a great friend.

Brian was very unwell for a majority of his adult life and suffered for a long time over the years. However, no matter what life threw at him, he always had a smile on his face, never complained and just got on with life with the help of his wife, Ann.

Brian was a true fighter, strong willed, and had so much courage over the years. Brian overcame so many things in his 63 years of life that some people just probably wouldn't be able to comprehend. Beating the odds, he got to watch all his children grow up into adults and he's grandchildren into young ladies. He had 39 years being happily married to his wife, Ann.

It is with a heavy heart knowing that this amazing man has been taken far before he's time, but heaven has gained an angel and the brightest star in the sky. Brian will be forever missed by anyone who knew him, you may be gone, but you will never be forgotten! Your memory will live on in all of our hearts, memories and stories we all hold.

Until we meet again, just know you are loved and always will be!

A TRUE LEGEND AND INSPIRATION TO ALL!

You will be truly missed Brian, all though I have not seen you in many years, your sister and I talked often about you and our childhood in Lynton estate. Our lives were all the better for knowing you. My heart felt feelings go out to Ann and your family. You are the brightest star in the sky xx.

My thoughts are with his wonderful, crazy, zany unique large family, who have lost a treasured part of it, Brian who was both a lovely husband and a kind father, may he rest in peace. What a legacy he has left in his memory.
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the funeral, but I will be thinking of everyone on the day.
Love from Lynne xxx
