In loving memory of Betty Ryan who sadly passed away on 6th August 2016
My Mum was a Colourful character and would like that reflected at her funeral so the colourful the better. She respected traditions so if not Black with a Splash of colour would equally be nice. Mum also requested not loads of flowers but ONE flower per person would be adequate. Lastly we hope everyone will join us after for a Celebrational wake after

Today we say goodbye to our lovely Bet. But we also get to celebrate and remember how Bet touched all our life's. Always smiling and ready for a good time she wouldn't want to see us all sad so let's make today about remembering and celebrating in Bet style. Bet was like a Mum to so many sharing her wisdom and giving us advice so today we all get to say thank you Bet. Love Angela x

Peter and Barbara Glasby donated £100 in memory of Betty

Peter and I were so lucky that Cousin Jim married Betty.
She was a wise, wonderful person, sensitive, cheerful, practical and loving all rolled into one.
When she and Jim came down to us on Hayling Island, she would always ask what projects they could help us with, anything from putting up curtains or moving furniture to disposing of the bottles.
She entered into the spirit of the thing with great gusto and nothing was too much trouble.
We had happy, companionable times together and will miss her greatly.
The thing we shall miss most of all is her warm, enveloping hug.
!
We shall be sad but privileged to say goodbye to her on September 2nd.

The last time I saw Betty we took a walk in the dangerous wilds of Hayling Island where we were both visiting my parents. I am sorry to miss the funeral. I send my love and condolences to Jim and her family. She was a warm intelligent woman and will be much missed.
