Phil Neal (28 Jan 1956 - 29 Jun 2016)

I remember the first time I met you Phil. I was a nervous wreck, I didn’t know what to say but I tried to earn your respect. You welcomed me with open arms, a gesture I will never forget.
I enjoyed your company most of all, the times we spent together watching the football. I would come around your house on a Sunday to watch the game, whatever the result it was always the same. We would have a beer and shout at the tv, "bloody rubbish" you would say then smile at me.
I love you Phil now and forever more, and I just wanted to say I’m proud to be your son in law.

You will always be the "number 1" man in my life Dad, I remember telling you just that. I don't need to say anything at all now because our love & bond was the unspoken rule. We don't need words. You are always going to be with me and I love you now more than ever. I am forever your little girl. Emma xxx
