Dear Carol and family, I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear that Dave has passed away. Had I known he was ill I would have visited before now. All I can say is that you and your family have my genuine, heartfelt sympathy at this time. Unfortunately, Gaynor and I are already booked into a West Country hotel for Wednesday and Thursday this week and so won't be able to attend Dave's Funeral.
