On 5th April 2016, in hospital after an illness bourne with dignity and courage, aged 73 years, Ernie, loving and much loved husband of Frances, beloved dad of Jane and Alison, dear father-in-law of Gary and Mike, loving grandad of Emma & Luke, Jack & William, a very dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle.
Funeral service will be held at St John’s Church, Upper Hopton, on Friday 22nd April 2016 at 1.30pm, followed by committal at Huddersfield Crematorium at 2.45pm. Friends please accept this intimation and meet at the Church. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Ernest may be placed in the collection box provided for the benefit of Alzheimer's Society.
