RIP to the greatest grandad. You were an inspiration, a role model and a friend. No matter what, you could make us laugh with your teaching tales. You had an amazing sense of humour, and I will never forget 'Grandad or chips?'. (Chips, right?) Every time you visited, you would patiently play board games with me. I never noticed that you always let me win, I just thought I was brilliant!

Growing up with you around was a real privilege. I'm honoured to have followed such a wise man into the teaching profession. I know I'll never be the teacher you were no matter how hard I try.

Nothing will ever take these precious memories away, and for that I will be eternally grateful.

Love you, Grandad. Until the morning xxx

Mr Barber will always be remembered as a great teacher, hard but fair.I know he was a hard task master, but very well repected by all his pupils. Pity that his kind of teaching seems to have left our Schools,R.I.P. Mr Barber, condolences to his family.

I will always be grateful for the education you, Mr Barber, was so determined we were having whether we liked it or not. The child that I was didn't want the effort it took but you insisted I stepped up. I thank you for your persistence, endurance and patience, don't know how you didn't murder me. The education you instilled in me has shaped my whole adulthood, enabled me to pursue a twenty year university career and is still holding me in good stead, however, I now know that you always knew this would be the case. You were a true professional. RIP Sir. Goodnight and God Bless

A lovely man and great teacher. He put me at ease when I started the school midway through the year and made sure I was ok and settling in when ever he saw me. A kind and fair man but you knew where the line was and didn't cross it x rip Mr Barber x
