Brian James` Hayes (19 Dec 1969 - 6 Mar 2016)

In loving memory of Brian James` Hayes who sadly passed away on 6th March 2016

Brian was a kind, funny, loving, quite often cheeky and sarcastic but passionate man. He loved me and his children and was always telling me how proud he was of us. His other passion in life was football both playing and watching first being a childhood fan of Arsenal and in later years Millwall.

He was also a massive fan of music often singing and dancing loudly and badly around the house, sometimes soo bad that we couldn't actually make out what the songs were that he was singing!!

His time spent in the Terratorial Army was some of the best times he ever had outside family time and would often talk to us about all the things he did and about the great friends he made which I had the great pleasure of meeting.

As a postman he worked hard and made many, good lifelong friends some of whom have been very supportive to me and my family during this very difficult and sad time. It was at the post office that he discovered his love for treating people after becoming a first aider, taking part in competitions and becoming a first aid instructor. Which made his decision to leave the post office and become a paramedic much easier.

He absolutely loved his job with London Ambulance and was extremely passionate about his creation the 'Booze bus', but the first time he worked with the bicycle unit he found a whole new passion and love for the job and was so happy when he was finally put with the unit on a permanent basis and was looking forward to all those evenings at home with his family after years of night shifts and late shifts.

Brian was a great story teller even of stories that weren't even his and always the life and soul of any party or gathering. He was an entertainer and loved a good joke or prank.

He will leave a massive Brian shaped hole in my life that I don't think I will ever be able to refill or would ever want to. I will miss his silly voices, the many nicknames he,had for me and yes I will even miss his moaning.

Due to the high number of well wishers who would like to send flowers we will be limiting it to just family and close friends. Any body else that would like to contribute could do so by donating to one of the two charities linked to this obituary. Thank you.

Also I would just like to add that if numbers become too high for the wake we will have to set a limit on how many people can come. Once we know numbers we can confirm this with people. Thank you for understanding.
