In loving memory of Dr Charles Christian "Chris" Chatterje-Taylor who sadly passed away on 28th February 2016. He was a true gentleman: a loving and thoughtful father, doting grandfather, proud great-grandfather and steadfast friend. He will be sorely missed.

Christian and I became friends at a lunch we shared with Michelle. I was telling stories about members of my family who were bootleg whiskey producers during the 1930's. He laughed and laughed. We later learned that we shared a love of the natural world and were both especially fond of raptors. We drove all over the countryside on his visits, searching for sights of the big birds. Now, when I am driving to town, I often look over at the passenger side of the car, expecting to see him sitting there. I miss him so very much and I always will - especially when I see a big black hawk silhouetted against the sky. - W
I met Chris at a lunch with my mom at Perkins. He was extremely nice and a perfect gentleman. A rare find these days. I did not see him as often when he was in town, however I will always be thankful that he was such a good friend to my mom. She finally had someone to talk to about nature and literature. He will be missed. - Monica

Many years ago Grandad taught me about kilts and the traditions of our family. I am in college taking a public speaking class. I got an assignment and chose to speak about kilts and got to wear mine to class. I just wanted Grandad to know I was thinking of him. Miss you Grandad

Dad got to groom, saddle then ride this horse to celebrate his 80th birthday, he was thrilled to pieces! One of his favorite memories of Nebraska :-)

This was a family day. The pride we felt. Precious achievements academically and as a good human being made her Dad feel accomplished. We think and speak of him often. Miss you Chris and thank you for changing my life. X Jo
