February 1975, spring intake at Bradford University School of Mechanical Engineering was when I first met Tim and he became my friend. I endured years of him taking the rip in his own inimitable style. If he wasn't doing that you wondered if he had taken a vow of silence or you had done something to upset him and that was why he wasn't talking to you. Mind you he got some back and could take it. So four mad years, more than a few pints , and some crazy practical jokes, both perpetrated and shared later, we got degrees. Although we went separate ways we kept contact over the years, and managed a reunion of the Aberdeen Terrace gang in 2010 (happy memories).
So here's to Tim a lad who made sound decisions ( his best being to make Christine his partner for life ) and let's hope them angels have got a sense of humour cos by eck they're going to need it. We will miss you.
