In Loving Memory of Edward Francis “Ned” O’Brien
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Francis “Ned” O’Brien, who passed away peacefully on Friday 24 July after a long battle with cancer.
In his final weeks, Ned was cared for with kindness and compassion by the nurses and carers at Homefield Nursing Home and St Christopher’s Hospice. His family are deeply grateful for the comfort and dignity they gave him during this time.
Even in his final days, Ned never lost his wonderful sense of humour. Although his communication became more by hand signals than words, his character, warmth and wit still shone through.
Ned is now free from pain and finally at peace. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bye Dad
I saw you on the Friday and never knew that was our last time. You said to me "thanks for everything" I know there was a deeper meaning there and sorry I didn't see you more often. When Rose left us I endeavoured to, we used to bypass lunch and head to the pub in Penge for the liquid variety! I'm looking at the selfie of us in there as I write this. Reunited with Rose and please say hi to Mum. Love & miss you Dad, your memory will live on with us all through treasured memories and photos. We say goodbye on the 11th and I'll raise the glass with you one last time. God Bless Dad R.I.P. Love always from Paul & Linda XXXXX.
