The daughter of Ada and Arthur Green, Carol grew up in Rosliston as one of six children. She earned a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies from Derby College and built a career in bookkeeping, working for Derbyshire County Council, Derwent Water Systems, and various local businesses. Later in life, she held retail positions at Reaseheath College and the PDSA Charity Shop in Nantwich, and also worked as a dogwalker for Petpals.
An avid lover of animals and the natural world, Carol was happiest outdoors, whether gardening, exploring the Lake District, visiting the Swiss countryside and Greek islands, volunteering at Chester Zoo or caring for her many cherished pets over the years.
Carol was predeceased by her daughter, Juliet. She is survived and deeply missed by her sons, Jamie and Chris; her grandchildren, Ashley, Kyle, and Amber; her great-grandchildren, Esmae, Noah, and Lucas; her surviving siblings; her ex-husband, Marc; her senior cat, Holly; and her many nieces and nephews.
