Brian David Noye (27 Jun 1953 - 12 Jul 2026)

Brian David Noye was born in June 1953 to Fred and Peggy Noye, younger brother to Cedric and born on the same date, but three years apart! Brian grew up in Retford and attended Sir Frederick Milner school for boys before leaving school aged 15 and shortly after getting a job at Bridon ropes and proceeded to work there until it's closure in the early 2000s.

Brian married Donna Wright in July 1981 and during their 35 year marriage welcomed two daughters, Lindsey in 1983 and Rebecca in 1988. In 2018 he was also proud to become a Grandad to grandson Owen.

Brian was known by many people around Retford having spent his whole life in the area, and having a varied social life.
He was a keen motorcycle rider in his younger days, though gave it up when he got too silly (by his own admission!). Brian played darts for many pubs including the Newcastle, the Flying Scotsman, the Sherwood and the Anchor in his later years, to name a few.

Brian was also a keen golfer, learning to play at Millfield in Laughterton, and going on to become Captain in 2002, one of his proudest moments as a golfer. In his later years he played at Serlby Park and made many friends along the way.
Brian's final years were blighted by illness, first suffering a brain haemorrhage in late 2016, he later developed Dementia and Alzheimer's, which he ultimately succumbed to.
He was very much the life of the party as long as he had a beer in hand and a smile on his face. We ask that you help us celebrate his life in the same way.
