In memory of our beloved Liz who left this realm far, far too soon on 3rd July 2026 aged 69.
Our sister, friend, partner, mother & grandmother. A wonderful daughter. Strong, bright, colourful, intuitive, funny & warm. She always loved with her entire heart. With us still in the many beautiful ways she touched this world.
The funeral will be on 30th Jul 2026 at 10am at Taunton Crematorium, Wellington New Road, Taunton, TA1 5NE. The wake will follow at 11:30am a short drive from the crematorium.
Wear whatever you feel drawn to, whether that’s smart or more casual and it can be dark or colourful.
The family will be organising flowers at the funeral so no need for anyone to bring flowers. If you wish please instead consider donating to a charity of your choice in Mum’s spirit, or you can donate to Devon Air Ambulance as they did all they could to try & save her so we’d like to support the amazing work they do.
Thank you to everyone that has sent kind messages of support during these weeks. Mum has an incredible community of people around her & it’s beautiful to see.

In memory of a wonderful woman. We hope this money helps towards an important cause.
We watched the live stream, it was a beautiful tribute to Liz, there was so much we never knew about her. We hadn’t met for a long time and thanks to Facebook we followed some of her life achievements. We just had to get a cockapoo after seeing the photos of Bertie, and also bought the sugar free chocolate 🍫 when Liz announced her involvement in that business. In memory of my friend, Liz Earley.x
I first met Liz on a counselling course in Taunton, not long after she opened Silk. She told me she was a hairdresser and was there to learn the best way to talk to her hair clients when they talked about personal problems. This, I was to learn, was typical of Liz. She was so thoughtful and intelligent, with an enquiring mind that never seemed to stop being interested in everything, and everyone. We became great friends throughout our twenties, and I was always in awe of her fabulous style, her enquiring mind, and her positive nature.
Liz was the first person I told when I found that my mum had terminal cancer, she was so kind.
I moved away but we kept in touch and met up a few times over the years. The last time was just before lockdown when I visited her lovely house in The Crescent. We took Bertie for a walk and had coffee in French Weir. She was the same positive and warm, fun loving woman she had always been.
Rest in peace my lovely friend. You were a beautiful light in this world, and your light will always shine. x
Such a terrible loss. David and I are unable to attend on Thursday as we are in France with our family.
We will be thinking about Liz and you all.
