In loving memory of Bob Keightley who sadly passed away peacefully on 13th May 2026, age 84, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with Mesothelioma. Bob is very much loved and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Bob's life was defined by hard work, dedication, and integrity. He was a devoted family man and a constant source of wisdom, guidance, and unconditional support. He loved nothing more than spending time outdoors in his garden growing his vegetables. Even as his health declined, his fighting spirit, gentle sense of humour, and devotion to his family never wavered.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held on 22nd June at 11 am at Vinters Park Crematorium, Bearsted Road, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 5LG, and then afterwards at the nearby Orida Hotel. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his memory to HASAG Asbestos Disease Support, a small registered charity dedicated to supporting those affected by mesothelioma, asbestosis or any other asbestos-related disease. As a family, we owe a huge debt of gratitude to HASAG for their support and guidance during a critical time, and know that helping raise funds for this exceptional charity will support other families impacted by this devastating disease.

Please use the purple 'donate now' link above if you would like to make a donation.

  • This was the proceeds of 2 World Cup sweepstakes. Amazing generosity from 45 people, many of whom would not have been previously aware of mesothelioma.

Dad was happiest with soil on his hands or the sound of a train whistle in the distance. He taught us that a good life requires strong roots, a clear track ahead and plenty of steam to get through the hard hills. Rest in peace Dad, you will always be remembered.
Love Phil and Nicki xx

Bob was a wonderful neighbour: always willing to help and a constant source of wise and practical advice, as well as produce from the garden. Kay and I missed him when he moved away and will cherish his memory.
