In loving memory of Brenda 'Bren' Ford who passed away peacefully on 26th April 2026 at Langley Lodge.
She was the most wonderful wife, mum and nanny (Nanny Brenny) who touched the lives of everyone she ever met. She will leave a huge hole in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
During her last few years she lived with dementia and therefore we kindly ask people to donate in her memory to Alzheimer's Society. If you would prefer, flowers are also more than welcome.
We will be celebrating her life at Basildon Crematorium (Gardenside) at 12:30pm on Monday 18th May. Afterwards, we will be heading to The Gun Pub (SS13 2DU) - everyone is welcome.

When I first joined HMC&E all those years ago, Bren took me under her wing and earned the affectionate title 'Auntie Bren'. When she wouldn't let anyone else call her that, I knew we had a special friendship.
We had so many laughs during those happy times and amid the sadness now, I am thankful for the lovely memories, and knowing that Auntie Bren was always in my corner xx

I'm so sorry I can't be there on the day to celebrate your life. I will however remember you with a great deal of fondness and humour, particularly your stories; one of which has always stayed with me. When your aunt thought you wore a wig which gained you the nickname 'baldy Fordy' from me. God bless and my thoughts are with you, Bill and your family xx
