Christine Ann Kathleen Smith (21 Nov 1935 - 27 Apr 2026)

In loving memory of Christine Ann Kathleen Smith who sadly passed away, at home on the 27th April 2026, aged 90.

Chris as she was known to many, loved her family, her dogs and cats, her garden and was an avid reader particularly enjoying murder mysteries.

Chris was a widow for almost 40 years having lost her husband Gerry in 1987. They had a son and daughter, Mark and Claire who went onto have two children each, Rosie, Tom, Ellie and Jemma. Chris was also blessed with a great grandson, Noah.

She was very much loved and has left a big hole in our lives.

The funeral is to be held at Basildon (Pitsea) Crematorium on Friday 5/6 at 11.30 with everyone welcome to attend her wake at the White Hart, Thundersley after the service. Chris was not a fan of black so please wear colour to her funeral, at least on the top half!
