When I think about music and singing, I think about you Frances… I can see your big smile, passion, your dedication and immense patience especially with pronunciation some “tricky” British sounds while singing.

Thank you for teaching my children and me. You will be forever in our hearts.

Frances was always so thoughtful, kind and caring, and the world seems smaller without her in it. Her impact was huge and her loss is keenly felt. Her funeral today was a beautiful service and a fitting farewell to a wonderful person. Thank you for everything, dear Frances. Rest in peace.

What a wonderful human being Frances was, the world has lost an amazing musician and a shining example of kindness and loveliness. Such a sad day, but I’m so glad that she is no longer suffering, and it was lovely to share so many happy memories with friends at her beautiful service today. From singing together in the Bridgwater Young Peoples Choir as teenagers, to adults in the Phoenix Singers, playing and performing together, sharing ‘stand-in’ conducting duties and seeing her fantastic skills teaching and accompanying our music students over the years at Richard Huish… I will miss you so much Frances, but will try and be more like you - positive, generous and encouraging to everyone - every day.

Frances was a lovely & talented lady who will be missed by many.

With many lovely memories of conversations and musical adventures over the past 14 years. You were a person of integrity and kindness to all. Thank you Frances.

Frances was my colleague at Wells, a well loved piano teacher. She was always happy and fun to chat to. She will be greatly missed by all at the school.

Francis was a very special teacher at the heart of Guildhall Young Artists Taunton since it started more than 12 years ago. Through out this time she transformed the musical and wider personal development of many hundreds of young people from across Somerset and beyond. Francis will always be part of us and will be very much missed.

All of us at Wells Cathedral School were so very sorry to hear the sad news of Frances' passing. She was a much loved and respected teacher here at Wells for 19 years and generations of pupils benefited from her wise and caring guidance. Frances was a person of great integrity, generosity and kindness and she will be greatly missed. Our condolences and sympathy to her family.
