Tim a wonderful uncle ❤️ will be deeply missed.
Tim died peacefully in his sleep on Monday 13 April in the safe hands of the hospice into which he had moved only eleven days earlier. The day Tim moved out of Tim and Janet’s home was their 49th wedding anniversary and we all will be forever grateful for the almost half century they spent together.
The funeral will be at 1PM on Friday 22nd May at a natural burial ground in the Blackdown Hills. The site is called Hackpen and entered through a gate at:
what3words chilling.sweetened.rainwater
The postcode is EX15 3LU but covers a wider area so be careful of following satnav slavishly.
We ask that everyone who can join us at the burial site dress colourfully for Tim. He would not want a sombre occasion. Please note that only natural items can be laid on Tim’s grave such as garden flowers. No plastic or other inorganic materials are permitted.
Afterwards we will move to a local hotel (Lakeview Manor, about 5 miles away) for refreshments where we hope that we will all be able to chat and share our memories of our lovely Tim.

Amongst his many talents was Orienttering, here winning the Minor Units Orienteering Championship in 16 Para Bde.
Tim and Janet hosted an Easter egg hunt for me, Gibson, and Leon. The garden at their prevous home was so big and beautiful. Lucky for them as it provided lots of hiding spaces!
South Africa 2012. Tim and Janet took Ethan and I to South Africa. A once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget. So many memories made.

Our safari mentors, we are so grateful for your introduction and training which led us to go on and have so many adventures of our own self-driving in Africa. Always great advice & good company. Thinking of you both. Love, Tracey
Always up for a challenge, Tim & Richard chimpanzee tracking in the Kyambura Gorge in Uganda 2012. What a great day we all shared together.
A lovely memory from our amazing Ranger Exchange visit to Uganda in 2012. Tim was always great company. Dave & Sarah send their best wishes, they only shared one adventure with Tim but have very fond memories at Hippo House. xxx
Janet, losing Tim is a tremendous loss. He was a truly remarkable person, and a BBQ king. I feel honoured to have called him my uncle, and my sons to have known him. I hope the memories you shared bring you comfort in the days and weeks ahead.
