I never met Chris in real life but spoke with him many times over years during his Bexley Beavers and West Kent Lifeguards involvement. What a lovely, caring chap. He was a legend and will be remembered.

Remembering our evenings teaching together at Bexley Life Saving Club in the early 1980s through to presenting Bexley Beavers with the RLSS UK Brian Morrissey Trophy in 2023 for services to the community. A true and honourable gentleman and friend.

Chris was an absolute gentleman who loved his life-saving and did so much work with people with disabilities particularly children I work he did is irreplaceable. Condolences to his family and may he know rest in peace and I’m so glad you managed to receive his MBE before his passing
