It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Ball, a dedicated council member and cherished volunteer at Blackwood & Mahee Golf Club, who left us on Wednesday 08 April 2026. Trevor, a stalwart of our golfing community, was a passionate advocate for the club and its members, contributing immeasurably to the management and upkeep of our beloved course. Trevor celebrated his 75th birthday just weeks ago, a milestone he held close to his heart as he bravely battled cancer. His tenacity and spirit were an inspiration to all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. For many years, Trevor was the backbone of our volunteer team, tirelessly working behind the scenes to ensure that Blackwood Golf Club remained a welcoming and enjoyable place for all. Beyond his contributions to the club, Trevor was a devoted family man and a loyal friend. His kindness, humour, and gentle disposition touched the lives of everyone around him. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity and warmth that will be remembered for years to come. As we mourn the loss of Trevor, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. The Blackwood & Mahee Golf Club community is better for having had him as a member, and he will be sorely missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Trevor. Thank you for the joy and friendship you brought into our lives.
