Dear Julie, and the boys.
We were so saddened to hear of Peter’s difficult illness and his recent passing.
Our friendship began through Rotary about 30 years ago and quickly became cherished. His generosity in so many ways was always never ending, admired and appreciated. The memories will always remain with us. He will be missed by so many.
His loss to Rotary will be particularly immense.
Rest in deserved peace our good friend.
Brien & Anne, Limerick. Ireland.

Peter and I had a wondeful friendship for the best part of 50 years - first meeting on the cricket pitch paying against one another - later becoming teamates at Eastwood C.C. and then Leigh on Sea C.C..
Pete was a man of many talents , a kind , thoughtful and generous family man who was a pleasure to spend time with.
He had an appetite for all sport but particularly football , cricket and golf and was always ready with a story and several jokes.
We shared many holidays together as two families when our children were growing up and later just the four of us had some lovely times together in the UK , Spain and Portugal creating some special memories.
Peter was the best friend you could possibly wish for and we will both miss him dearly
R.I.P. Old Friend

We shared so many happy memories together over the years with our trips both home and abroad. As with any journey not everything always went exactly to plan but those moments never spoilt the fun that we had.

Our last journey together was cancelled three times due to covid, but we got there in the end and flew to Prague for a few days sightseeing before a joining the boat for a cruise along the river Danube to Budapest.

Peter was always good company never short of a tale about his time working as a QS or recalling his sporting activities from his earliest days playing for Eton Manner to his latest round of golf.

Sleep well my friend.

We were really saddened to hear that Peter had died. He bore his health issues with great humility and dignity.
Peter would come up to Wick with his mum and dad when younger and stay with his nan and grandad. Nellie and Willie Macintosh. Peter was very proud of his Scottish roots and used to have his own Macintosh kilt. He even found a love of the local Whiskey, Old Pulteney, which I think was his go to dram of choice all his life
Julie through this difficult time I know you will have the love and support of your family.
Although we lived at opposite ends of the country Peter is always in our thoughts,
Love to you all.

I first knew Peter pofessionally, but then again through Rotary, though at different clubs but more so when Jean joined the Leigh Club and was welcomed by Peter and Julie, a lovely couple. Peter was always warm, informed, hard working and always good company. It was sad to see his fight against a cruel disease. Rest in Peace now Peter, everyone who knew you will miss you.
