Leslie Smith 'Les' formerly of Vista Road, Clacton on Sea born 11th November, 1943 died peacefully on 23rd March, 2026. He leaves his son Simon and daughter in law Louise and granddaughters Ellie, Lottie and Abbie. Les was born in Romford Essex to parents Leslie and Gladys.
After school and exams he worked for Boots the chemist as a pharmacy technician at branches around Essex.
He was well loved by his colleagues and made many friends over the years, a diligent employee working for Boots for 53 years, until he retired and moved to Suffolk to be closer to his family.
Les married Pauline in 1965 and was very happily married until her untimely death in 2013.
They were extremely proud of their son Simon and their three lovely granddaughters Ellie, Lottie and Abbie.
Many happy times were spent together as a family over the years.

So many happy memories to look back on, whether in Ipswich, Baylham,Christmases in Norfolk and of course Clacton. All filled with laughter, fun times making for memories to look back on fondly. Both Les and Pauline were always so welcoming and great hosts. Rest in Peace. Sophy and Trevor xxxx

Very special memories of Les and indeed Pauline. They were like my surrogate parents, always taking an interest and indeed looking after me when making my many visits round Simons house

Les, a truly wonderful person, who has been in my life for 70 years. Wonderful memories of him and his beloved Pauline. I miss them.
