"More than a father-in-law, he was a true father figure and a steady hand when it mattered most. I’m incredibly grateful for his guidance and the quiet strength he brought to our family. He’ll be missed more than words can say."

In life you get very few genuine friends ; I am pleased to say that Don was one of those few people I could count on one hand who was always a friend I could trust and respect.

So many great memories of uncle Don, but the one that always comes to the fore is when both our families went to Ibiza in 1971. Dawn & my sister, Vanessa spent most of the holiday cleaning the hotel toilets. Don & my day were not best pleased, but it was such a fun holiday.

he will be sorely missed. I have very fond memories of all the antics we got up to. From sailing in the Caribbean. Drinking far too much. To sailing in the med. my thoughts are with you Di and the family at this very sad time. The one thing we can all say. Don was great to be around and led a full life. Love Karen and Tony
