Olivia White My Story Why I'm running the 2026 London Marathon Running the marathon has always been something I have aspired to do, especially after watching my dad run it in 2022 and so not only having the chance to run it but doing it for a charity that means so much to me is an amazing experience that I am so grateful to have and share with my family! Macmillan is a charity so close to me and my family as they have provided endless support to not only us but most importantly my Grandma who has suffered with multiple variants of cancer. They were absolutely fantastic with their support and help in making her feel normal again with things like wigs which was a huge help to us and especially her and we are so grateful! My grandma fought cancer for six and a half years, and sadly, she passed away on Mother’s Day this year. This makes running the marathon even more important to me. I know she will be with me as I cross the finish line in April. Macmillan supports not only those diagnosed with cancer, but also the loved ones who stand beside them through such an uncertain time. That’s why I’m running, for everyone affected by cancer, in every way.
