Christine Barnsdale (18 Sep 1942 - 6 Mar 2026)
Funeral Director
In loving memory of Christine Barnsdale, who sadly passed away on 6th March 2026, aged 83.
Christine was born on 18th September 1942 in Donnington, Spalding, the middle of three daughters to Doris and Thomas, and sister to Janet and Josie. Their close family bond remained an important part of Christine’s life.
Christine spent most of her years in Grantham, a town she grew to love and call home. She worked for many years at Aveling & Barford, forming friendships that stayed with her throughout her life. She later joined Duncan & Toplis, where her warmth, reliability, and gentle humour were appreciated by colleagues and clients alike. After retiring, Christine enjoyed a quieter pace of life, taking pleasure in time spent with family and the simple comforts she cherished.
To her nieces — Sarah, Sian, Julie, and Anne — Aunty Chris was a constant source of love, encouragement, and kindness. She had a special way of making each of them feel valued, and her steady presence will be deeply missed.
Christine will be remembered for her gentle nature, her loyalty, and her ability to brighten the lives of those around her. Her passing leaves a great sadness, but her family and friends remain grateful for the many memories they shared with her.
She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
