In loving memory of Robert Victor Jackson who sadly passed away on 2nd March 2026, aged 76 years.
The most wonderful and loving Husband, Dad and Pops, who will forever be missed, he has left the biggest hole in our lives. We will forever miss his cheekiness, laughter and love.
Bob's family have requested that rather than floral tributes they would welcome donations in his memory for the RSPB, which can be made online via this site. Dad loved feeding the birds with Kai, and sitting and watching them from the conservatory. It became their little thing to do together xx

On behalf of Newington Parish Council:
Bob’s death has been a great shock to parish councillors and many in our village. His family: Elaine, vice-chair of the parish council, and all their family are devastated by his sudden demise and our thoughts are with them all.
Bob has been a part of village life since moving here. When we carried out renovation work on the Pavilion Bob volunteered to be caretaker (unpaid at that time) and has been responsible for turning the building into a village amenity, regularly used by groups of all ages as well as occasional private lettings. Bob did far more than this: he was always part of our bi-annual litter-picks, driving round to collect the full rubbish bags; working tirelessly before, during and after village fetes; sorting and supervising our Christmas lights; he met contractors pricing for and carrying out works; and was a regular attender at parish council meetings and committees.
Bob had many friends in our village and is sadly missed.
