In loving memory of Vassel John Gordon, who sadly passed away on 5th March 2026 after a long period in hospital. Vassel was a kind, gentle soul whose presence brought comfort and warmth to those around him. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends, always offering support, wisdom, and a listening ear. His quiet strength and resilience inspired many throughout his life. Vassel will be remembered for his compassion, his generosity, and the love he shared so freely. Though he is no longer with us, his memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished him.

Rest in Peace John. You will never be forgotten by the Traders of Brixton Market. Your calming presence combined with an aesthetic appreciation of fine glassware and first class patisserie abides. So sad you are no longer here. The memories live forever.

  • Just heard the sad news that John has passed . He used to call me the bag lady of Brixton as I was always pulling a suitcase or carrying bags for my stall . John was a kind , loving and straight forward talking man , we enjoyed each others banter over the 17yrs off knowing him and selling my jewellery in Brixton . You will be missed in tht flesh john but your soul will for ever live on . Guidance on your way home my friend Warmest Beverly Quintal ( Founder of Nzingha Jewellery )
