In loving memory of Alexis William Charles O'Connor who sadly passed away on 19th January 2026

Sunil Nair donated £30 in memory of Alexis

Dear Alexis, I had the pleasure of getting to know you as a keen footballer with a knack for bringing people together on the pitch and always knowing the perfect balance of personnel to make it a competitive and fun session. All accomplished in your own understated way, except for the odd moments of real passion and frustration during a game :)

I miss seeing you around the office and send my deepest condolences to the family.

Rest in peace my friend.
Sunil

Alexis was a university colleague, friend, and housemate at Loughborough University. With Alexis’s dry humour, intellect, and bizarre random element in his remarks you could be laughing for some time afterwards.
Fond memories of time spent with Alexis. Rest easy friend. Sending love to all Alexis’s family and friends. Xx

I was so sad to hear you have gone Alexis, I have fond memories of working with you and being your friend Your patience whilst you bemusingly watched me navigate the intricacies of Weblearn, and socially your continued patience as you performed the important roll of roadie and chief wine supplier at our dance gigs - a brave man in these scenarios! Your dry sense of humour always made me smile. I'm sorry we lost touch..

Thanks Alexis for all the laughs and conversation. I will always remember the football nights, your hilarious comments delivered in a dry, wonderful way. I know you are sorely missed by your friends, colleagues, and family.

Such sad news. It was a pleasure to share so many enjoyable Friday evening games of football at Mansfield Road with you. Those games were only possible because, behind the scenes, you took care of everything, booking the pitch, organising the teams, collecting subs, and even bringing the footballs.

I'm going to really miss you - it was great being your work colleague and also team mate or opposition player on the football pitch. Such a sad tragic loss.

Fond memories of a University pal and housemate. The driest of humours, intelligent and a shared passion for digital music. Will be remembered up here in Yorkshire and my condolences to his family. Sleep well my friend.
