In loving memory of John Whiston Edmund Evenden who sadly passed away on 9th February 2026 aged 65 years.

John, who was very kind and friendly, will be deeply missed by his family, friends and work colleagues. He passed away unexpectedly at work. The family would like to thank the staff for everything they did for him on the day and the family since.

Those that would like to attend the funeral are very welcome to join us to say goodbye.

The family would prefer donations, in lieu of flowers, be made in memory of John to 'Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex' and would be gratefully received.

To my dearest Uncle. Cannot believe you are gone.
I never forget your kindness and humour. Always falling asleep when you came for Christmas and turning up in your santa costume to surprise our girls. Miss you! Love your goddaughter Tracey, Mark, Lauren and Jess.

  • He once said I can't do overtime tomorrow as I haven't got any clean knickers! 🤣🤣 The sticker on his top says 'I may not look my best, but I'm still tasty' which he got off the bananas and wore for a few hours! There's more but I can't think of them, I'll add as and when I do! We always new when John was annoyed, and it was so funny hearing him ranting! Then he would snap out of it and be John again 😍 He was a very caring and would help anyone at anytime 😍
