My Dearest Betty, wow what a journey we’ve been on together over the years. You picked me up when I was down , you listened to my mad cap ideas and you gave me opportunities that I could only have ever dreamed of ! Our holidays well , so many laughs , late nights and cost cutting tricks .
As you always fought my corner , as I fought yours right to the end. Even insisting on us carrying on a cruise because you were getting such good care on board . To be honest even though you had 4 days in the hospital on board after 6 weeks , we came home and you were fitter than you had been in a while.
As I said on our last evening together “ the bad penny always turns up in a crisis!” I know that brought you comfort and you could finally find peace. Thank you for our precious 40 year friendship which I will always treasure and look back on with such fondness. X

My condolences to Dorothy's family and friends. I saw her obituary just by chance. I have never met Dorothy and I do not know whether or not we are related. My father is Frank Goland Bracking, born Strood, Kent 05/10/1919 died 21/10/2000 aged 80. He had three sisters, Kathleen, Bess and Doris. His father was also Frank Bracking, died 08/06/1922 age 34.

My darling Betty, how I miss you so very much. I'll treasure the memories of our 20 year friendship forever and often think of the laughs and fun times we had. It's so difficult to say goodbye but I'm taking comfort knowing you're now at peace after a difficult couple of years. I hope you're causing trouble up there. Until we meet again...save some sherry for me please. All my love, George xxx
