When my brother messaged me to tell me the news my heart sank. Maureen and Brian were long time close friend of my parents and I can still hear the four of them laughing and joking on nights they visited. Sadly I'll health robbed these four chums of the later years of their lives that they should have spent together.
Maureen was such a lovely lady. A great mum to Alison, Hillary and Gavin, and someone who was never without a smile on her face.
Hopefully she is now reunited with Brian and sharing a good laugh and joke with her old friends.
A very sad time, but I hope you all can get some comfort when you reflect on just what a wonderful person your mum was.
All my love
Gary

In loving memory of Maureen Dorothy Butler who sadly passed away on 21st February 2026.
A beloved Mum, Nan, Great Nan ("Nan Nan"), Sister-in-law, Auntie and friend to so many.
Loyal, caring and always thinking of others, the very centre of our family and our world. Words will never truly express the love and loss we will feel forever without her. Her love will outlive the words unsaid.
We will always honour our very own "national treasure" and seek comfort that she has now been reunited with her beloved Brian, our Dad, after being apart for so long.
All our love
Alison, Hilary, Gavin and Family xx

Nanny Madge what can I say! An absolute pleasure to have known and spent so much time with over the years. I’ll never forget the time you drove me to bluewater in your “wagon”. Took us about half an hour instead of 10! You’ll be forever missed by many x
Miss you Nan 💔
