In loving memory of Nicholas Alan Paul Wunderly
9 August 1972 - 22 February 2026.
Much loved by his wife, Clare, his family and his friends. We will miss him more than words can say but we know that we were privileged to have him in our lives.
Nick loved Clare, his family, his friends, Mrs Pickle (their miniature schnauzer), Spurs, wood, the sea, a good debate, learning new skills, doing a perfect job.
Nick was the most decent of men.
Decency is a superpower.

There are so many memories but my favourite will always be the time we decided to drive to Brighton late at night. We could not stop laughing at our sheer stupidity of driving that late and for no reason at all … we then just sat watching the sea and made wishes for our future … time has passed and things changed but that memory will always stay with me … Harry

What a complete and utter legend - long live our memories and stories of you Nick❤️😍 gone far too soon but will never be forgotten 💙💙

I always remember your smile and that
little smirk and 90% of the time I knew what you were thinking 🤩..

I had the pleasure of meeting Nick in a professional capacity at the MoJ and omg we hit it off from day 1…

When I was introduced to this highly skilled/articulate and well rounded guy I knew we’d get on….as he’d made sense……and we started to talk lots, work together and collaborate. As we both respected each other’s life/professional experiences/determination to unravel the crap and challenge the status quo we began to build a reputation/brand for delivering in our field 👍🤩…. Nick made that happen!!!

As we navigated complexities and challenges we still managed to smile and keep each other going.

it was truly a good connection and a pleasure to have worked with such an incredible, intelligent, honest and honourable gentleman.

Nick became a true friend early on and I trusted his judgment, integrity and perspective.
A true leader and professional through and through and to this day I am so so proud of you🤩

When Nick announced he was moving onto follow his dream; I was immediately mourning his loss in the workplace but boy I’m glad he did (we had this running joke- I’d call him Noah and he’d promise to build me a boat one day- as I also loved the sea/sailing but in warmer climates 🛶⚓️🌊🪵🪜🪚🛠️🗜️✏️🔩⛵️🤣😢 ).. I’m so so so proud of Nick’s accomplishments and his life achievements . This man learnt.to create and build a boat amongst a host of other great things…. He loved a challenge and boy he never gave up….and with Clare’s support he was able to fulfil his career change and do something he loved… such an inspiration!!Long live his accomplishments 👍😍 We all thought you were awesome Nick!!

I know how much he adored Clare and his love shone through when he would speak about her at length- what a beautiful lady and please know how proud he was of you… and all that you stood for ❤️I truly felt I knew you Clare and he’d share stories of you,his parents and extended family and as for Pickle well she was a loving best friend that we all got to hear about/see pics and love her too….

For all the many years I knew Nick we continued our friendship even after leaving the MoJ and I’m truly truly gutted to have lost a decent honest friend and I will cherish the good times/our chats and debates that we had trying to put the world to rights and calling out the wrong!!

I fell into shock when I heard the sad news and like many still can’t believe it but long live your memories Nick and I will cherish our laughs/tears and chapters.
I know I took our friendship for granted and assumed we had loads of time left but life and health got in the way- please forgive me mate and I hope you look down and give us one of those smiles ❤️🥰😍
My family were also so upset to hear about Nick as he visited us some years ago and we enjoyed many hours of chat, food and laughter .. we send Clare and all your family our condolences and strength and ensure Nick will always stay in our thoughts, heart and prayers🙏🏻❤️

One spurs song that reminds me of you Nick and our time together is “Can’t smile without you!”
I will always think of you when I hear this …

Such a lovely man. Gone way too early. I had quite a few jobs done by Nick which will remind me of him. We used to have some lovely chats when I used to pick Pickle up for her walks. I am thinking of Clare at this time

Nick and I in London in 1998. He didn't much like having his picture taken, so this is a rarity! Happy days xx
