In loving memory of Rosemary Fossett who sadly passed away on 19th February 2026.

She lived a long life much of it in the county of Yorkshire.

A dedicated and supportive spouse to Michael over 68 years.

A loving and devoted mother to her two children Gill and Jeremy.

Rosemary put up a spirited fight through her illness at the end, but sadly has flown away to a paradise of light, surrounded by animals and cats, fragrant roses all around, birdsong in the air. She has returned to wholeness and found eternal peace.

Our dear mother will be sorely missed! Forever loved!

We were so sorry to hear of the loss of Rosemary. She and Michael have been such a central part of village life for so many years. Our sincere condolences to Michael and all the family. Sadly we’re away visiting family on 20th March so won’t be able to attend her funeral.

It has only been a week, but it seems a lifetime ago since we lost you. You were an amazing Mum and home maker always making sure we had healthy meals and vitamin pills in the winter. You shared your great love of history and the Russian Romanov family not forgetting your favourite film Dr Zhivago with me. Each time I watch that film you will always be fondly remembered. My fondest memories are of sitting under the apple tree with you in the summer enjoying the sun with a good book and a cup of coffee. You will forever be in my heart and never forgotten Mum. Till we meet again.
Love you Mum ❤️ xxx

Rosemary, ‘Mum’, was a lady from a bygone era.
Thirty three years ago, she welcomed me into her family. We shared a love of gardening, cats and her son, Jeremy.
Her holidays, with her husband Michael, spent in Felixstowe were such happy times. Seaside ice creams, cheese scones and coffee. Simple pleasures for a very gentle lady.
We have so many special and happy memories. Rest in peace Mum. You fought so bravely at the end and it was a privilege to be with you in your final days. We will always love you.

Rosemary was a steadfast and loyal wife and mother. She was a gentle and humble person who took pride in the achievements of others. She supported my father in his careers on the railways and in the church and was a living and caring mother to my sister and I. At times of birthdays, she laid on parties and was an excellent host. For the majority of her adult life, she was a wonderful housewife who created a warm home providing delicious meals every day which we just took for granted. She was an exceptional woman whom we'll all miss! Thanks Mum! Love you always!!

  • Rosemary lived 92 years, throughout which she enjoyed a strong Christian faith. She played a major in creating deep affection spread over our 4 generations. She was a wonderful wife and mother. We shall miss her terribly. I was greatly blessed to be her husband, Michael Praise be to God our Father
