On 5th February 2026, in hospital, recently of Meadow Green, Heckmondwike, formerly of Crackenedge, Dewsbury, aged 82 years, Christine, loved and devoted wife of the late Stephen Anthony Bretton, beloved mum of Debbie and David, very dear mother in law of Mark and Debra, proud grandma of Amy, Sam and Emily and dearly loved GG to her great grandchildren, Harvey, George, Ellie. Corey, Nellie and Etta.
Funeral service will be held at St Joseph’s RC Church, Batley Carr on Friday 6th March 2026 at 1.15pm, followed by committal at Dewsbury moor Crematorium. Friends and family please gather at the church. Family flowers only, donations in Christine’s memory may be placed in the collection box provided for sent to the HCPT (Lourdes Fund) or The Salvation Army, Batley.

Rest in peace Nurse Bretton- I will never forget your kindness and care you gave to my terminally ill mother in hospital in August 1989. My mother always appreciated your lovely cups of tea in a china cup and saucer.
