In loving memory of Kate Riddleston who sadly passed away on 9th February 2026 aged 95.
Many of you will remember her as Mrs Riddleston, who taught at Kersey, Polstead, and Hadleigh primary schools, where she was a much-loved teacher.
Kate spent many happy years at Potash Farm with her husband, Rod, and her son, Daniel. After Rod’s death, she moved to Stowmarket, where she built a new chapter in her life, though she always loved keeping up with news from Polstead.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone who knew her

Many lovely memories of Kate from our time as colleagues together at Hadleigh Primary School, and a dear friend since retirement. Also, grateful thanks for her Mulled Wine recipe.
Rest in peace, Kate, much love from Mike and Cynthia Garland.

Many happy memories of playing the handbells in the Tyrell Tones with Kate. Spent lots of time debating, discussing and laughter as we drove the Suffolk roads in the dark looking for the village/church hall we were playing at. One evening we both blundered into someone’s kitchen thinking we had arrive at our destination. They were happy to point us in the right direction.
