I am fondly remembering lovely Kathy. A kind, quietly welcoming woman who touches so many lives through teaching, volunteering with Open Arts, and simply by being. I think of her talent for creativity, her knowledge, and her kindness. Rest in peace Kathy. Much love. X

In memory of a smashing teacher and overall a kind, loving, patient and fun lady who will always be in our hearts and minds. We bet Kathy is teaching everyone up in heaven about Star Wars and everything that is required...., but not country dancing as she hated it!
May the force be with you Kathy, it will always be an honour to call you our friend.

Forever in our thoughts

So sad to hear this news and send sincere condolences to Kathy’s family . I was a colleague of Kathy’s at KHI and we worked together as Year 2 teachers before my retirement. She had a sharp sense of humour and was always up to speed on anything requiring technical,mathematical or scientific skills and willing to support others. Happy memories of our teaching days together.

I remember Miss Thomas vividly! Her classroom was next to the one I was in. I knew she was into star wars and talked to students about it a fair few times. I remember her big smile whilst walking around the school. Rest in peace Miss! 💐

Kathy you will be sadly missed both as a former colleague and as a long term friend. X

Thinking of Miss Thomas’s family and friends at this very sad time. Miss Thomas taught my sister, Amelia at Kents Hill Infants School. She taught Amelia in year 2 and Amelia loved being in her class. Rest in peace Miss Thomas. X
