Being Lesley’s friend for over 40 years was truly a special gift.
Remembering the many joyful times spent together; near and distant family holidays; road trips; tours and cruise adventures; so grateful for Lesley’s ‘sixth sense’ of direction when abandoned by Google maps. Long countryside and sunny beach walks; delightful brunches, lunches and dinners; enjoying great stage plays, musicals, shows and events; marvelling at the lightening speed Lesley explored a museum; lazy summer days in the garden; Saturday night takeaways ending with Lesley winning almost every trivia board game.
So much laughter, a touch of sarcasm and a smattering of tears.
Strong, smart, private; never afraid to speak her mind but always the first to offer kind words of encouragement and support.
Enjoying her newfound hobby of painting; honeycomb ice cream; a glass or two … of chilled sauvignon blanc; a malt whisky nightcap; but sadly never savouring that final, sneaked into hospital, dram of Drambuie or our re-scheduled F&M afternoon tea.
To the wonderful memories we shared that will be replayed and lovingly remembered always.
Thinking of Lesley especially today, her birthday, missing her radiant smile that lit up a room.
