Funeral Director
In loving memory of Elizabeth Granger (née Todd), who sadly left us on 30 January 2026.
Elizabeth was the heart of a loving family: devoted wife to John, much-loved mum to Victoria, Michael, James and Nick, and a cherished Gran Gran (Mam) to Charlie, Henry, Millie, Hamish and Stanley, all of whom she was immensely proud of.
Born in Kilmarnock on 21 September 1941 to Alexander and Thelma Todd, Elizabeth spent her childhood and teenage years in Southampton after the family moved there following the Second World War.
Elizabeth trained as a teacher and later returned to education as a teaching assistant at Greatham Primary School. During the 1980s and 1990s, she also worked at Graziani Wool Shop and Petersfield Bookshop, where she loved meeting people and being part of the local community.
Elizabeth and John married in July 1967 and settled in Romsey before moving in 1974 to Pulens Lane in Sheet, near Petersfield, which became their much-loved family home.
Elizabeth immersed herself in community life, forming lifelong friendships through Ladies Circle, Tangent, and various voluntary roles, including Friends of Petersfield Hospital. Pulens Lane was always full of extra children, animals and laughter.
She will be deeply missed for her sense of humour, her caring nature, and her love and kindness. Although she has left a huge gap in our lives, she is now at peace and no longer in pain.
Elizabeth's funeral will be held at The Oaks Crematorium in Havant at 1045 on Friday 6 March 2026 followed by a celebration of her life at the Seven Stars in Stroud.
The family would like to thank everyone for the love and support shown over recent months and since Elizabeth left us. Donations in her memory are being raised for The Princess Royal Trust for Carers in Hampshire, who were there for us when we needed them most.
