It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Julie Reed, who sadly passed away on the 5th of February 2026, aged 64.

Julie was born on 5th July 1961 in Devizes, a town she loved and where she spent her whole life. She was a loving and devoted wife to David for 43 amazing years and a loving mother to her three boys, Mark, Tom and Jonathan. She also leaves behind her beloved Mother and best friend, Thelma and younger brothers, Ian and Robert.

Julie dedicated most of her adult life caring for others as a passionate and proud mental health nurse. Through her work she touched the lives of many patients, friends and colleagues, many of whom, in her final weeks, travelled across the country just to tell her so.

Above all else Julie was a kind and caring person whose warmth made everyone feel welcome. She would go out of her way to help others and always stood up for those she loved. She was fiercely loyal. She found much joy in gardening and DIY, often found half way up a ladder building a new wall, or laying even more concrete in the garden.

Julie was also a very much loved grandmother to Marley, Logan, Oscar, Freya and Harvey, who bought her so much pride and happiness.

She will forever be missed by her husband, sons, grandchildren and extended family and all who knew her.

Julie's funeral service will take place at West Wiltshire Crematorium, Semington on 6th March 2026 at 3pm. All who loved her are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.
