In loving memory of Frederick Archie 'Fred' Dixon who sadly passed away on 17th January 2026.
A loving and selfless man who meant the world to his family.
A devoted husband to his late wife Ena, whom he loved deeply, and loving husband to his wife Linda.
A caring father to his son Michael and his wife Judy.
He adored his step-daughter Jayne and her husband Mark, whose love and kindness were always given freely.
He was a much loved grandad, and great grandad to Becky and Sam, and to his great grandchildren Freddie, Lenny, Maddie, Kate and baby Millie. He took great pleasure in every moment spent with his family.
He will be remembered for his gentle nature, generous heart and unwavering love for those closest to him.
Forever loved, forever missed.
There is an open invitation for the funeral for anybody who wants to show their respect, however there is no wake afterwards.
We also request no flowers, however donations to the Alzheimer's Society will be gratefully received.

I started at Gills Cables in late 1975 and worked with Fred for over 13 years, learning a great deal about management from him. I will remember him as he was then, always doing what was best for the company (regardless of what Group management said!). One of the good guys.
