Mavis Dyson, A loving mum, nan & great nan passed peacefully on 11th January aged 73 years.
Beloved wife of Colin, beloved Mother of Gaynor, Barry and Helen.
Adored Nan of Jason, Jessica, Luke, Madeline, Harvey and Grace.
Much loved Great Nan to Blake, Isaac and Ivy.

She will be greatly missed by all her close family & friends, who hope to fill the huge void she has left with the love of her memories.

Mavis Dyson (nee Parkin) born in West Melton, Wath, was a wonderful human being, always a cheery smile on her face even when facing the toughest of challenges.

A woman who could rustle up a superb meal from next to nothing, she was at her happiest when cooking a family meal in the tiny kitchen in West Avenue or teaching the grand children how to bake.

Mavis was a 'child magnet' - All children loved her and she was an adopted 'Nan' to many friends and neighbours children.

Her short working life was as a Nursery Nurse, caring for orphans at a Nursery in Moorgate, Rotherham.

She married Colin Dyson in February 1962 and they remained Happy together for the next 53 years.

Good Night, God Bless

Mavis was the best mother in law that I could have ever wished for, and accepted me into her home as one of her own. I will remember our shopping trips very fondly, we laughed, cried and had some great times and I will miss you terribly.

Rest now, love you always Joanne xxx
