Michael Woulfe (8 Apr 1967 - 1 Jan 2026)

I am very sad to learn of your passing. You were an outstandingly capable teacher who had the very rare talent of balancing seriousness with levity.

You began my legal education, which became the bedrock of my future success.

It was also nice to have another Irishman in the room.

You had a positive impact on the lives of innumerable young people and you will be greatly missed and fondly remembered

One of the best teachers Wentworth had ❤️ a brilliant sense of humour. I’ll never forget being introduced to “the time machine” it opened a whole new world of literature for me

Mr Woulfe is the first teacher I always think of when thinking back to the high school days. He was one of those teachers that you remember for the best reasons, one of those teachers that really made an impact on your life.
I remember when my parents split up when I was 13 years old, Mr Woulfe said if I needed anybody to talk too then he was there. It's the simple acts of kindness like that which create an everlasting memory.
He was the funniest, most down to earth teacher you could wish for. His humour was very dry and every lesson with him was a memorable one, even now 18 years later. I even remember his classroom number - room 44.
My thoughts go out to his family and friends, I'm very saddened to learn of his passing.

A friend and I always look back with incredibly fond memories of Mr.Woulfe, he taught us English back in 2007/2008 at Wentworth High. Hands down the best teacher that we ever had, he was a teacher that you remember for all the right reasons. We speak about him still and remember how funny and kind he was, we always looked forward to his classes. My deepest condolences to the family, and friends that will miss him.

Amazing teacher and an even better person, he always made me feel welcomed.
