In loving memory of Meryl Hughes who sadly passed away on 13th December 2025.
After a short illness, Meryl passed away just before Christmas, aged 58. She was a much loved daughter of Olive and Peter, sister of Geraldine, aunt and great aunt. The latter of which she found highly amusing.
Although Meryl was born with severe cerebral palsy, she led as full a life as possible. Meryl was well travelled, visiting several European countries and the USA. She loved camping and had travelled the length and breadth of the UK.
We will be saying good bye to Meryl on 15th January at Colchester Crematorium at 2.30pm.
There is no colour code, so please feel free to wear colours.
We also request no flowers but would appreciate any donations to be made to the Freddie Farmer Foundation, which is a charity that supports children born with cerebral palsy
